Sarah David started as a teaching assistant at Genesee Community Charter School in 2001, the first year it opened. Prior to the Genesee Community Charter School, Ms. David worked at an after school program during college and at a day care center in high school. Ms. David has been a teaching assistant for the K-1 loop her entire tenure at Genesee Community Charter School and has worked in collaboration in this K-1 loop with Keri Gonzalez since the school opened in 2001. Ms. David has an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from Monroe Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
Ms. David’s hobbies are riding and taking care of her horses. She started riding at age seven years old and has never stopped. Specifically, Ms. David enjoys working with OTTBs (Off The Track Thoroughbreds). Ms. David has a son, Mason, and a daughter, Mikayla.
About the Genesee Community Charter School, Ms. David states: “I love our Opening Ceremony and Passage Ceremony. It's an exciting way to kick off the school year and I think the kids really look forward to it. The Passage Ceremony is a beautiful way to close the year and get excited for what's to come.”
