Passage Ceremony

Wed, 06/20/2018 - 10:00am

After 16 years of cramming a severely restricted crowd into the Eisenhart Auditorium, we’re moving this very special event to a larger venue (many thanks to parent Emily Lambert for making the connection for us). This year’s Passage Ceremony will be held at Lyric Theatre, just a couple blocks from the school at 440 East Avenue. The space is beautiful, and perfect for this event. Seating is semi-circular, there is a large stage, great lighting and sound, and best of all, we can accommodate more guests while preserving the strong feeling of community that we strive for. Each family will be provided two free tickets for the ceremony (families with sixth graders will be provided with four free tickets). Additional tickets will be available for $10 each. Ticket sales will help us offset the cost of renting the theater. Watch your e-mail and the June issue of Currents for more information about ordering tickets. Students will report to school at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20 and have some time to wrap up their school year in classrooms before walking down East Avenue. Passage Ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. Students being picked up after the event will be dismissed to parents and caregivers at the theater, and bus riders will be walked back to school to board buses. We’re looking forward to trying this new venue for our year’s culmination, and are eager to hear your feedback on the event.
