Food Service

Both GCCS campuses partner with Julia K Caters to provide breakfast and lunch to our students. Menus are sent home once per month – simply circle the meals your child would like and send the menu back with payment. Menus are made available in advance allow families time to plan their budgets. Students are welcome to bring packed meals from home as well.

Students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals are enrolled in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s school meal program. We encourage all families to apply for this program. Students who do not qualify for the USDA program may purchase school meals.

Please advise the school health office of any food allergies or special diet needs.

Family-Style Meals

Serving family-style meals is a long-standing tradition of GCCS. All students participate in the set up, serving, and clean up of the meal. Students who bring meals from home are expected to participate as well. Teachers also dedicate time to eat with their students, modeling appropriate manners and conversation.

Meal Shaming Policy

GCCS provides access to nutritious no-and low-cost meals to families in need without judgement or stigmatization. Each campus’ Meal Shaming Policy can be found below:

Wellness Policy

The health and wellness of our students is just as important as their academic achievement. Our full Wellness Policy can be viewed here.
