Exhibiting our work

Beyond the Classroom

High-quality products or performances are typically modeled after professional work.
Students present their work to audiences beyond the classroom.

Final Products & Exhibition Night

Final Products

At the culmination of each expedition, students apply their accumulated knowledge and skills by creating a final product. When possible, final products are in service of an outside organization or need in the community. Final products take on many forms such as a book, performance, public presentation, or museum exhibit.

Examples of Final Products

First Graders created permanent exhibit panels for the Native Peoples of the Americas exhibit at the Rochester Museum and Science Center. View RMSC Exhibit Panel PDF>

Third Graders produced a “finish the drawing” coloring book for the Sam Patch, a local boat the Erie Canal. View Erie Canal Coloring Book PDF >

Fifth Graders wrote biographies of local immigrants and choreographed movement pieces depicting their life.  View Mohamud Biography PDF >

Sixth Graders constructed an Adobe Spark page as part of a year-long study of equity in the community. https://spark.adobe.com/page/GOYdIhpxsuDsf/

Exhibition Night

Each class presents its final product along with projects and performances, before an authentic audience of parents and community members at an Exhibition Night. Exhibitions take many forms, including productions of plays, informational panels, sky shows held at the planetarium, book signing events, museum docents, simulations, and interactive learning stations.
