Food Service

NEW for the 2025-2026 school year:

We are pleased to announce that all students enrolled at both GCCS campuses are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch for the 2025-2026 school year, based on the approval from the NYS Child Nutrition department of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. CEP allows our schools to offer free breakfast and lunch to each student every day. Families are permitted to opt-out of this program if desired.

Both GCCS campuses partner with Julia K Caters to provide breakfast and lunch to our students. Menus are sent home once per month – you are welcome to send your child with a packed lunch if they won’t want what is being served on a given day.  An op-out form will be included with each menu; please complete and return it to school should you wish to op-out for that month.

Please advise the school health office of any food allergies or special dietary needs.

Family-Style Meals

All school meals are served in the classroom. Teachers eat with their students to model appropriate table manners and conversation.

Meal Shaming Policy

GCCS provides access to nutritious meals to families in need without judgement or stigmatization. Each campus’ Meal Shaming Policy can be found below:

Wellness Policy

The health and wellness of our students is just as important as their academic achievement. Our full Wellness Policy can be viewed here.

ROC The Day on December 2nd!

On Tuesday, December 2 , the Rochester community will come together to ROC the Day, and we need YOU to join us. It’s 24 hours of community giving and your chance to make a real difference right here for our students. Both GCCS campuses are participating in this day of giving to support our field studies.
