Hear from Our Leader – BuildingHope Impact Talks!

Genesee Community Charter School at the Rochester Museum & Science Center’s diverse-by-design model erases social and traditional academic boundaries by embracing school integration, social justice, and striving to be active citizens in our community.

Led by School Leader and Executive Director Shannon Hillman, Genesee Community Charter School set out to do exactly what charter schools were intended to do–innovate, then disseminate. We pave the way for students to make a positive impact on the quality of life in our community with projects like field guides, magazines, websites, performances, and acts of advocacy. Our creative work benefits local neighborhoods, cultural institutions, parks, and nature centers!

To learn more about the IMPACT we are making on student lives, join Shannon on Wednesday,
September 14th at 12pm EST via Facebook Live. Shannon and the Building Hope team will be online live to answer questions on educational innovation and more.
