A Message to Prospective Teachers

Teachers at Genesee Community Charter School work in co-teaching, inclusion settings. They plan and teach all core subject areas through the lens of local history and science topics using the GCCS Curriculum Framework, New York State Next Generation Learning Standards, and using the EL Education model. We trust our teachers to create rigorous, high-quality, and memorable learning experiences for all students. Our teachers, like our students, belong to a close-knit community where we take risks, challenge and support one another, and embrace the opportunity to improve our craft.
